Birmingham City Council adds four new properties to auction
Birmingham City Council is set to auction four additional properties in Bond Wolfe’s upcoming live-streamed auction on Wednesday, 11 December.
The properties include two potential development plots, a small retail unit, and an advertising hoarding.
Its largest offering is a 44,013 sq ft rectangular plot off Coleshill Road in Birmingham, with a guide price of £400,000+.
Accessible between 14 and 18 Coleshill Road, the freehold land is sold subject to any existing rights of way and offers various potential uses.
Another development plot is a 2,254 sqm (22,462 sq ft) site fronting Queensbridge Road, listed at £450,000+. Positioned across from 98 Queensbridge Road, it may also suit various uses, pending planning approval, and is similarly sold with any existing rights of way.
Also up for auction is 1C Walford Road in Sparkbrook, Birmingham, a freehold single-story retail investment property.
It has been leased since April 2001 on a full repairing and insuring basis, generating an annual rental income of £5,000, with a guide price of £125,000+.
Additionally, a plot of land with an advertising hoarding at 400-404 Stratford Road, Birmingham, is listed at a guide price of £75,000+.
The 495 sq ft hoarding brings in £2,500 annually and is situated at the intersection of the A34 Stratford Road and A41 Warwick Road in a mixed residential and commercial area. The freehold is being sold subject to the existing lease, in place since June 1983.
Gurpreet Bassi, chief executive of Bond Wolfe, said: “This is another great opportunity to acquire sites in Birmingham with considerable potential. Both these plots may be suitable for a variety of uses, subject to securing planning consent, including educational, community or residential.”
“In each case, no guarantee or warranty is offered in respect of such consents being available. We are pleased to be able to offer these four lots for Birmingham City Council as part of their programme of disposals via our online live-streamed auctions.”
