Construction firm appointed on £20m tech headquarters

MCS Group has been appointed as the main contractor to build a new Birmingham headquarters for Allsee Technologies, a manufacturer in the commercial display and digital signage market.

The Warwick-based construction company has begun work on the 80,000 sq ft headquarters, which was approved in May this year.

The £20m scheme at St. Modwen’s Longbridge Business Park is expected to create 150 jobs.

It is expected to be completed in 50 weeks and will include three storeys of office space, car parking and external works, creating jobs and attracting investment to the region.

Allsee Technologies, with 17 years of industry expertise, offers complete turnkey solutions, combining hardware and software for digital signage.

Longbridge is one of the largest regeneration projects in the UK, covering 140 hectares and aiming to create 10,000 jobs across various sectors.

Keir Edmonds, managing director at MCS Group, said: “Starting a new development is always exciting and our latest project at West Longbridge, Birmingham, is no exception. We are thrilled to be working alongside Allsee Technologies to create a fantastic new headquarters here in the Midlands, bringing investment and new jobs to this exceptional regeneration zone.”

Baoli Zhao, managing director at Allsee Technologies, said: “Longbridge has a proud history of manufacturing and innovation, and we are honoured to become part of this legacy with our new headquarters and digital technology centre.

“This development represents an exciting step forward for Allsee Technologies, and the region as a whole, as we invest in creating high-quality job opportunities and advancing digital display and communication technologies. We are thrilled to contribute to the ongoing regeneration of Longbridge, and we look forward to playing a role in its future growth and success as a hub for technology and economic prosperity.”
