100 healthcare jobs in the pipeline as work begins on care home

100 new jobs are set to be created as construction begins on a new care home in Coventry to support adults with complex needs.

Birch View, a 38-bedroom facility, will be built on the site of the former St Nicholas Church, with a three-storey design that incorporates elements of the church’s architecture.

It marks the fifth collaboration between Deeley Construction and Exemplar Health Care.

Birch View will provide care for adults with conditions like brain injuries, dementia, mental health issues and physical disabilities.

The home will include dining rooms, quiet spaces, a therapy room and a sensory garden.

It’s expected to be completed by 2026.

Paul Simmons, head of construction at Exemplar Health Care said: “We aim to make every day better for the people we support by providing person-centred care that focuses on maximising independence, building everyday living skills and empowering people.

“Once complete, the home will create a significant number of local healthcare employment opportunities, whilst also making sure the local community has access to a much-needed complex needs care service. It’s our ambition for the home to be a place where our residents can be part of the community, whether through visiting local attractions, work
placements or local events.”
