Administrators appointed at firm behind 364-apartment scheme in Birmingham

Administrators have been appointed at Future High Street Living, the company behind a proposed £125m residential development in Birmingham.
The Cannock-based firm filed two notices of intention to appoint administrators, first on March 17 and again on March 21.
Administrators at FRP Advisory were then appointed on March 26.
Located at 53-68 Princip Street in the Gun Quarter, the development was initially put forward in 2020 by Load Estates, a company owned by Birmingham-based Taylor Grange Developments’ chief executive Rakesh Doal.
At the time the development included the construction of three blocks of six, 11 and 25 storeys for 337 apartments.
Load Estates was liquidated in 2022, followed by the liquidation of Taylor Grange Developments in 2023.
A new planning application was subsequently submitted to Birmingham City Council by Future High Street Living, a company led by Sam Ginda, who was also previously a director at Load Estates.
Records show that Singh Doah was once a director at Future High Street Living but his role ended in 2021.
Approved on October 10, 2024, the project includes the demolition of existing buildings and the construction of 364 apartments across three buildings, reaching heights of six, 12, and 26 storeys.
Plans also feature cycle parking and amenity space.
At present, no further details have emerged regarding the status or future of the development.
Both Future High Street Living and the appointed administrators have been approached for a comment.
