Former boys club among range of properties in Bond Wolfe’s next auction

The Four Oaks Boys Club

A former boys club in Sutton Coldfield is among a range of Birmingham City Council-owned properties going under the hammer as part of its ongoing £2.4bn asset sell-off.

The Four Oaks Boys Club, located in Mere Green, is listed with a guide price of £75,000+ and includes two buildings in need of refurbishment – a sports hall and an assembly hall – which could be suitable for redevelopment, subject to planning.

The properties will feature in Bond Wolfe’s next livestreamed auction on Thursday 15 May and are part of the council’s wider programme to sell surplus assets under the direction of appointed commissioners.

Also up for grabs is a £100,000+ plot on Stoney Lane, Balsall Heath, currently used as a car park and generating £2,200 in annual rent.

A commercial property on Stratford Road, Sparkbrook, used as a car garage and bringing in £6,500 annually, is listed at £150,000+.

Two occupied retail units on Lozells Road are also being offered with guide prices of £125,000+ each, both sold with tenants in place and businesses unaffected.

The sale includes seven commercial ground rents, covering properties in Glebe Farm Road and three pubs across the city, with guide prices ranging from £25,000 to £235,000+.
