New home for automation supplier and more lettings news

AN AUTOMATION supplier, which worked on the new Range Rover Evoque, has relocated to a new unit in south Birmingham.

Mechatronic Solutions has moved from Sheldon to Kings Norton Business Centre due to a 50% growth in the business over the past year.

This was due in large part to a £1m contract win to design and build machinery to produce interior trim for the Evoque.

Mechatronic has taken a 10,261 sq ft warehouse unit, double the size of its previous premises in Sheldon, on a 10-year lease for an undisclosed rent. KNBC is owned and managed by Slough-based Segro.

In other lettings news, a new Worcestershire-based marketing company has moved to an out-of-town office development.

Bamboo Marketing has taken 4,728 sq ft of office space at Whittington Hall near Worcester on a six-year lease.

The hall is asset managed by Blue Marble Properties on behalf of landlord the Pemberstone Partnership.

Bamboo Marketing recently purchased another Worcester marketing agency, Satellite Automotive, bringing the payroll up to 80 staff.

Finally, Central Property Repairs and sister firm Birmingham Scaffolding (Midlands) have joined together in a single unit at Kings Norton Business Centre.

Central Property Repairs have relocated to Crown Road from a 1,555 sq ft elsewhere on the industrial park.

It has been joined by the scaffolding firm from its former home in Ullenhall, Henley-inArden.

They are now occupying a 4,159 sq ft unit on a 10-year lease with plans to expand by a further 9,000 sq ft.
