Multi-disciplinary team wins science park deal

A MULTI-disciplinary team from the Birmingham office of property consultancy GVA has been appointed to advise Malvern Hills Science Park regarding its future expansion plans.
The science park has so far been developed within a 10-acre site, which has scope for further development.
GVA’s agency, planning and project management teams have been appointed to work alongside the park’s in-house team to develop strategies for attracting new tenants, acquiring and developing expansion space and enhancing the profile of its business incubation centre.
The park has 56,000 sq ft of lettable floor space over three phases, the first two of which are designed for start-up and new companies, with more established companies in phase three.
Partners of the park comprise Worcestershire County Council, Malvern Hills District Council and the Herefordshire and Worcestershire Chamber of Commerce.
A large proportion of the businesses based at the park have links with defence and security research firm QinetiQ, which employees more than 1,000 people at its Malvern campus situated on the adjacent site.
Director Carl Potter said: “The park is incredibly important to the local economy, as well as to the wider region, and there is significant potential for future expansion to accommodate a range of technology and research companies.”
