Accountants relocates after securing business loan
A BIRMINGHAM accountants has relocated as part of a major expansion plan.
Collins Hart has been supported in its plan with a £290,000 loan from Lloyds TSB Commercial.
The firm, an independent firm of chartered accountants, tax specialists and business advisers, was previously based in Sutton Coldfield.
Following the cash injection, the business has now relocated to newly refurbished offices in the lodge building located in the grounds of the 16th century Castle Bromwich Hall.
The move will help Collins Hart’s ambitions to expand its current client base with services ranging from inheritance tax planning, tax returns, annual accounts preparation and auditing to a range of SMEs and sole traders located across the wider Midlands area.
The firm, established in 1995, approached the bank with a view to borrowing in support of the relocation and refit of the new premises.
The business, which is headed up by Nigel Collins, currently employs seven people, but hopes to increase head count in the near future.
Nigel’s son John is now also a practicing accountant with Collins Hart, having joined the firm last year following accountancy training with KPMG.
The move strengthened the bank’s willingness to lend as there was a sound succession plan in place for the business.
