Finalists unveiled for Midlands Excellence Awards

THE five Midlands organisations shortlisted as finalists for the 2011-2012 Midlands Excellence Awards have been announced.

Clarkson Wayman Ball, ESOS IT, Service Birmingham, Truflo Marine and Worcestershire County Council Environmental Services secured their place on the shortlist after preparing a written submission and undergoing a rigorous evaluation by a team of independent Midlands Excellence assessors.

Ian Nield, chief executive of Midlands Excellence, said: “We were extremely impressed by the standard of this year’s entries and they prove that even in a difficult economic climate, successful organisations are continuing to strive for excellence.”

Now in its 15th year, the Midlands Excellence Awards programme recognises excellence in all-round business performance. Previous winners include BMW, Siemens, Severn Trent Water and Advantage West Midlands.

This year’s winners will be announced at a gala ceremony at The University of Birmingham’s Great Hall on March 8. The Keynote speaker on the night will be double Olympic gold rower Steve Williams OBE.
