HS2 consultancy shortlists announced

A SHORTLIST of consultants has been lined up to develop and design the HS2 rail link between Birmingham and London.

The list includes a number with bases in the West Midlands,

It is thought the package is worth £350m with £200m of that covering structural and civil engineering design.

The project is being broken down into five main parts, one of which is the route into Birmingham.

Firms with local offices which have been shortlisted for various aspects of the project include Mott MacDonald, Atkins, Arup and Capita Symonds.
