Coventry makes top ten of business-friendly cities

COVENTRY has received international recognition for the help it gives to businesses.
The city has been listed in the top ten for business friendliness in the fDi European Cities and Regions of the Future Awards.
The prestigious awards recognise the cities and regions ranked with the best prospects for inward investment, economic development and business expansion.
The announcement was made at the fDi awards held at the MIPIM property conference in Cannes, where Coventry was showcasing the city for the 19th successive year.
Martin Reeves, chief executive of Coventry City Council, was at the awards ceremony.
He said: “We have always had a very pro-active approach to inward investment and have ensured we offer the facilities and conditions needed to attract companies who are looking to relocate, and also to help existing firms thrive here.
“This was a pan-European award so we are delighted to be listed in the top ten and we will continue to do everything we can to attract investment.”
fDi Cities and Regions of the Future shortlists were created from an independent collection of data by fDi Benchmark across 223 European cities and 142 European regions.
