Anglo Holt motoring ahead with Jaguar Land Rover

CONSTRUCTOR Anglo Holt is benefiting from the ongoing expansion of vehicle manufacturer Jaguar Land Rover.
The West Bromwich-based firm is building two key facilities for the prestige car manufacturer at its Lode Lane site in Solihull, home of the iconic Land Rover and Range Rover.
Anglo Holt teams are currently working on a design and build contract for a materials, planning and logistics centre, measuring 107, 642 sq ft (10,000 m2).
The project marks two firsts for JLR’s built environment at Solihull. It creates its first BREEAM performance rated building and the first to be designed and constructed to meet the criteria of the company’s Eco 21st Century Project Build.
The wide span triple steel portal frame structure will be fronted by a purpose-designed showcase reception area, vehicle showroom, conference suite and offices all reflecting JLR’s corporate standards in addressing environmental impact through carbon reduction.
Anglo Holt director Andy Hall said the company had won a further contract to build JLR an IT data centre.
The new 12,000 sq ft (1,200m2) portal framed data centre building will include a secure enclosure for IT equipment and an admin/office area.
“It is a pleasure and a privilege to be working alongside Jaguar Land Rover on these two important projects and we are delighted to be able to contribute to the continued growth of the company’s global brands,” said Mr Hall.
“Anglo Holt is proud of its status as a member of an elite group of suppliers of construction services to the best of the world’s automotive industry giants. The award of these two contracts clearly demonstrates that our expertise, experience and track record in successfully delivering projects on time and on budget is recognized and highly valued in the automotive sector.”
