Capex recognised for brokering £18m

A BIRMINGHAM based independent asset finance company has been recognised after brokering £18.3m of investment.

Capex Finance has been presented with an ‘Outstanding Introducers’ award from ING Lease for the third successive year.

Established in 1999 by three directors, Alan Hunt, Julian Percival and Warren Badger, Capex Finance is one of only 30 introducers to be selected by ING Lease to receive the award.

Mr Percival said: “Asset based lending and the options available to raise finance has not always been clearly understood by businesses, however, the current economic pressures have forced companies to look outside of the banks and quickly develop their understanding of alternative means of maintaining cash flow and investing for the future.”

Vehicle leasing company Link Central Vehicle Management, based in Tamworth, is one of the firm’s supported by Capex. The firm financed its first van through Capex in 2005 and now has a fleet of 600 vehicles and is a longstanding customer of ING.
Jeremy Holloway, financial director of Link Central, said: “Capex enabled us to expand our business during a period of unprecedented contraction in high street bank lending. By providing access to asset finance at competitive rates Capex plugged the funding gap triggered by the financial meltdown.”

Andy Taylor, Broker Manager from ING Lease, added: “We have had a strong working relationship with Capex Finance for the past 11 years.  They are a solid, good quality operation, always very professional and they understand the requirements of our business. ”
