Nicklins adds bulk via merger

HALESOWEN-based chartered accountancy firm Nicklins is continuing to expand across the region after merging with Birmingham-based Lowe McTernan.

The new practice will continue to operate under the Nicklins name.

Staff from Rubery-based Lowe McTernan will move into Nicklins’ premises in Halesowen.Lowe McTernan partner David Wright joins Nicklins in the same role, while his colleague Chris Williams has taken the opportunity to retire as a partner, continuing instead in a consultancy role.

Harvey Owen, managing partner of Nicklins, said: “This merger is a positive move for both practices, putting Nicklins in a position to compete locally with national firms.

“We had been looking for some time for a suitable company to merge with to help us expand the range of services and levels of expertise we can offer to clients throughout the region.

“We continue to look for ways to grow the practice, so this will certainly not be the last of our expansion plans.”

David Wright said: “Nicklins has a strong reputation both locally and across the region, so I am delighted that our practice is now part of its forward-thinking vision which will benefit clients and colleagues alike.”
