Fleet-Milne appointed chair of Birmingham Future

PROPERTY entrepreneur Nicola Fleet-Milne has been appointed to the helm of young professional membership organisation Birmingham Future.

The former Birmingham Young Professional of the Year 2007 Entrepreneurial Category winner and owner of FleetMilne Residential was officially handed the chair by incumbent Gareth Morgan.

She said: “Birmingham Future has spent the last 20 years building something very special and I look forward to continuing that hard work and making the organisation a real force to be reckoned with for Birmingham’s young professionals.

“I’ve always taken a bold and pro-active approach to my endeavors and I intend to apply the same principles, which have served me so well to date, to this new role. Each chair of Birmingham Future has helped move the organisation forward and my intention is to make the most of every hour of the next year to do exactly that.

“Times are still really tough and the recession’s bite continues to be felt by local businesses, but it is crucial to tackle those challenges head on and make positive changes in the face of any adversity.

“At FleetMilne we see young, enthusiastic and talented professionals arrive in our city every day and my belief is that Birmingham Future can help each of their careers, in turn becoming an even more cohesive and progressive organisation.”

Ms Fleet-Milne is owner and managing director of Colmore Row-based residential lettings and sales agent FleetMilne Residential, where the team has made structural changes to accommodate her new post.

Ben Evans, operations director, said: “Our clients can rest assured that despite Nicola’s appointment as chair, normal exceptional service will continue throughout.

“We have restructured the management of the business and undergone a recruitment drive this summer, to ensure that there are no gaps and that her time can be freed up sufficiently to service both roles to the fullest.”
