No redundancies despite Runnalls departure – Willmott Dixon

CONSTRUCTION firm Willmott Dixon has denied market rumours that it is involved in a redundancy process following the departure of regionally-based sales and marketing manager Angelique Runnalls.

Runnalls, who had been with the firm since May 2008, left its employ suddenly a few days ago leading to speculation in the market that the firm was reacting to tough market conditions by laying people off.

But Willmott Dixon – which has a base in Coleshill – has strongly denied this is the case.

Gary Church, company sales and marketing manager, said: “Angelique Runnalls left the business by mutual consent. This was not a redundancy situation. We will be recruiting a replacement.

“We can clarify that this is not part of a wider redundancy programme. There is no redundancy programme within the business.”

Runnalls – a well-known figure in the Midlands property and construction sector – had previously worked for Wates Construction as a business development co-ordinator and held a similar position at Bluestone (now Morgan Ashurst).
