Shaylor brought in to transform Bank House

ALDRIDGE construction firm Shaylor Group has been appointed to upgrade Bank House in Birmingham’s business district.
The 17-storey building is to be transformed with a cube entrance, designed by Sidell Gibson Architects.
The upgrade also includes a complete refurbishment of the reception area and three floors of office space, up-grading three lifts and installing new WC and shower facilities in the basement car park.
Shaylor Interiors will complete the £1.75m contract in 18 weeks.
The 1969-built building, which was formerly owned by The Bank of England, now belongs to Omaha Nominees and the work has been commissioned by F&C Reit Asset Management.
Stuart Taylor, director of Shaylor Interiors, said: “We have extensive expertise of delivering high specification refurbishments of this type and working around the demands of an operational commercial building.
“The enhancements and improvements will greatly improve the property’s profile with prospective tenants. The new entrance in particular makes a strong design statement and allows the building to have a greater impact on the surrounding environment.”
