Britannia BNI is a £3m success for Staffordshire businesses

MEMBERS of a Staffordshire breakfast networking group are celebrating after passing the milestone of £3m worth of business referrals in less than three years.

Britannia BNI is part of Business Network International, a worldwide networking organisation. Its 30 members meet every week in Stoke-on-Trent.

David Meigh, director of Britannia BNI and managing director at Newcastle-under-Lyme phone company PDR World, said: “We’ve proved that networking with BNI can help businesses thrive, even during a recession.

“BNI is all about businesses working together in a focused way. The expectation is to help first, then get something back. We’ve always done that in Britannia BNI, which is why we’ve been so successful.”

Britannia BNI plans to expand to 40 members so it can generate even more referral revenue.

The £3m milestone was reached during August – and by the end of October a further £500,000 had been added.

Britannia BNI is the best performing of 11 BNI groups, or chapters, in Staffordshire and Shropshire for referral value – and within the top 10% of all 600 chapters in the UK.

Judith Richardson, director of asbestos management consultants Qube Solution Services in Stafford, said: “Britannia BNI gives us access to a much wider network of businesses. It’s central to our marketing strategy.”
