Staffordshire software firm targets growth on new product launch

A STAFFORDSHIRE software company is targeting growth in the warehouse, logistics and distribution industries sector after launching an innovative new product.

Established in 1984, Traderman’s existing client portfolio includes Marks & Spencer, Carpetright and DHL.

The firm has now added Wednesbury based furniture home delivery company Furdeco having supplied the company with its innovative tmWare solution.

After securing specialist research and development tax relief support and business guidance from Birmingham accountants Smith Cooper, Traderman has launched new modules to the tmWare suite.

The latest innovation allows delivery drivers to send a text to the tmWare system to report a successful or failed delivery. This enables the logistics operations to provide live tracking updates to customers about the status of their delivery, without having to invest in expensive in-cab hardware.

tmWare is now planning to secure further new contracts and identify growth opportunities with a wider international client base.

Shaun Coughlin, managing director at Traderman said: “We provide systems and solutions that enable businesses to report back with critical information, which in turn allows them to better plan their logistical operations, improving efficiency and cost effectiveness.

“The launch of the new modules will enable the business to move forward with its growth plans, based on attracting new business and providing existing customers with better value-added support.

“The on-going support we receive from Smith Cooper continues to prove invaluable and really assisted us to move forward with our growth aspirations and identify new opportunities in what continues to be a challenging business environment.”

Ed Saunders, tax director at Smith Cooper in Birmingham, said: “Traderman is a truly innovative business. The launch of this add-on software will enable it to look at new market opportunities and expand its existing client base, and I am pleased that we could help them maximise the opportunities available to them.

“The logistics industry is a lucrative market for companies that can provide a streamlined, reliable service and Traderman is a great example of a local business that is thriving. We look forward to continuing to work with the management team on their future growth strategy and expect 2013 to be another exciting year for the business.”
