Black Country haulier invests for growth

BLACK Country haulier Joseph Holloway is investing in growth with the expansion of its fleet.

The Oldbury company has already purchased 12 new Renault Premium tractor units in the last 12 months and now has a further two on order with the long-term aim of replacing its entire 25-strong fleet.

The Premiums, all supplied through Renault Trucks Midlands in Tipton, are used for the bulk haulage of recycling materials, scrap metals and waste on behalf of customers across the UK.

Matt Holloway, Managing Director, Joseph Holloway Ltd, said: “When looking to update our fleet last year, we trialled a Renault Premium demonstrator. Our drivers were pleased with the comfort and handling of the Premium and fuel economy was also impressive.

“Half of our fleet of 25 trucks are now Renault and, following the successful performance we have seen over the last year, we are looking to eventually run an all Renault fleet.”

The firm said strong dealer support and service back-up had helped to clinch the deal.

Joseph Holloway is an independent, fourth generation, family company established in 1897. The company originally started out with canal boats, moving raw materials, such as iron ore and coal, for local industries. Today the company is run by brothers Matt and Adam Holloway and they have grown the business into a nationwide haulage operation, with a fleet of bulk tippers and walking floor vehicles, all transporting a variety of goods.
