Lubricants firm Exol charts growth with £2m expansion

WEDNESBURY-based Exol Lubricants is investing more than £2m in redeveloping its head office and manufacturing site as it looks to expand.

The firm, which employs 60 people, said the move cemented its position as a leading employer in the area.

The redevelopment of the 120,000 sq ft site will completely overhaul its current operation and create a more efficient, economical and environmentally friendly manufacturing facility.

Work will start in July and is expected to take six months to complete.

When completed, Exol will be recruiting more staff and increasing the number of visitors it brings to the area, as it plans to demonstrate its new facility to its expanding customer base.

The company, which is the UK’s largest independent lubricants manufacturer, supplies lubricants and associated products for car, commercial vehicle, agricultural, rail and industrial applications.

Steve Dunn, Exol Lubricants sales director, said: “Exol has been a permanent fixture in the Wednesbury area for 30 years and we are delighted to be expanding our business here.

“Our head office location has been an integral part of our success, as it plays home to our research and development laboratory and, is perfectly placed to service our growing customer base across numerous product sectors.”
