JLR expansion triggers fresh marketing initiative for i54

THE massive expansion of Jaguar Land Rover’s new engine plant at the i54 business park in South Staffordshire has triggered a major sales push from agents for the site.
Bulley’s is marketing land at the business park to companies working in the advanced manufacturing sector, although separate plots are also available for office and leisure use.
It said land from 0.8 hectares (2 acres) capable of accommodating buildings from 2,500 sq m (26,910 sq ft) was available to be purchased, while there were also leasehold options for purpose-built development.
The i54 site, which is a joint venture partnership between South Staffordshire, Staffordshire County and Wolverhampton City Councils, will eventually comprise 235,000 sq m (2,500,000 sq ft) of attractively landscaped industrial, office, technology and leisure space.
Aerospace company, MOOG, has already set up a 19,415 sq m (208,905 sq ft) factory on the site. This has been followed by a similar design and build project for Eurofins, which has created a 40,000 sq ft laboratory testing centre with ancillary offices.
JLR’s announcement that it is doubling the size of its engine plant as part of a £0.5bn investment, creating 1,450 jobs, has pushed the business park back into the commercial spotlight.
Work by the various councils to install a new motorway motorway junction linking the M54 directly into the site is set to extend its appeal still further.
