Seneca invests in Birmingham display firm

SENECA, the SME investor, has made a “significant investment” into T & E Display Group, a Birmingham-based specialist designer, manufacturer, and installer of retail display systems.

The investment – of an undisclosed amount – supports management to further develop their business and benefit from operational and market synergies in other portfolio investments Seneca has in this sector.

T & E has a long-established reputation with customers such as John Lewis, McDonalds Restaurants and the Arcadia Group.

Nick Leitch, head of Seneca in the Midlands, said:  “We are delighted at this opportunity to work with management in growing T&E and with the support we received from LloydsTSB Commercial Finance and Barclays Bank in delivering this transaction and providing on-going facilities’.

Seneca invests in SME companies across most sectors with turnover of £5m – £100m. It supports management and shareholders in buyouts and with growth, development and turnaround capital.

During 2012 it completed 15 investments.
