Medical know-how prompts FBC Manby Bowdler launch

LAW firm FBC Manby Bowdler has established a medical negligence team to focus the work of its specialist lawyers already advising clients on an increasing number of claims across the region.

Tim Gray, partner and head of the medical negligence team and head of FBC Manby Bowdler’s personal injury department, says that the events at Stafford Hospital and other incidences of medical negligence have boosted the firm’s workload in this area.

He said: “With the withdrawal of legal aid from virtually all medical negligence cases, we are now able to offer our clients a no win, no fee arrangement, which means that they can continue to pursue compensation for themselves and for their loved ones when things have gone wrong in hospital or in other healthcare settings.”

The medical negligence team will work closely with the firm’s elder abuse and neglect compensation team, which was formed last year to win and protect compensation for victims of abuse and neglect while in care.

FBC Manby Bowdler is headquartered in Wolverhampton and also has offices in Willenhall, Telford, Shrewsbury and Bridgnorth.
