Major contract win in Australia for Synectics

WARWICKSHIRE-based security and surveillance group Synectics has announced that it has won a contract worth more than £2.5m for security systems for a large liquid natural gas project in Australia.

The contract, most of which will be delivered in the current financial year, was won by the Studley firm’s subsidiary Synectics Systems Group.

The security systems will provide offshore visual surveillance of the facilities using COEX hazardous area and marine camera stations, which will be encoded, recorded, monitored and controlled by Synectics hardware and software.

John Shepherd, chief executive of Synectics, said: “This contract award further illustrates Synectics’ leading global position in this specialist sector.”
