Charity support body chooses Fort Dunlop as new headquarters

A VENTURE which helps small and growing charities compete with household names from a fundraising perspective has chosen Birmingham as its headquarters.

raisemore, which helps small charities gain maximum leverage and income in what is an increasingly competitive sector, has opted to base itself at Fort Dunlop.

The company’s team of charity and fundraising experts has only recently launched its services but it has already successfully worked with a number of charities.

Claire Healy, managing director of raisemore, said one of the biggest challenges faced by small charities was the ability to compete in a market where major charities had “huge budgets and much louder voices”.

“What we have been able to do in Birmingham is put together a team, based at the heart of the country, which combines decades of experience in the fundraising world as well as partnering with the best third party providers to ensure we can help charitable organisations meet their fundraising goals – whatever their size,” she said.

raisemore operates a payment-by-results system which means small charities can take advantage of services which will help escalate their ability to raise money without incurring up-front costs.

The company is already working with 10 charities across the UK, and recently helped a small UK operation open its latest cancer treatment centre in Cornwall.

“We provide a total support package which is based on a paid by results system which means there is no barrier to entry and it’s affordable for any size of not-for-profit organisation.  Birmingham is a natural home for us; we are close to all motorway and air networks and can easily service all parts of the UK whilst using the base to roll out our marketing and development plans for the company,” added Ms Healy.
