HSBC strengthens Midland Corporate Banking division

HSBC has strengthened its Midland Corporate Banking division with the appointment of Emma Hallam as Senior Corporate Banking Manager. She will be focused on mid-market companies with a turnover of between £30m and £100m.
Ms Hallam has been with HSBC for 20 years, the last four of which have been spent with the bank’s South West Midlands Commercial team, where she was most recently a Senior International Commercial Manager.
She has worked across a number of commercial and corporate roles during her time with HSBC and her appointment strengthens the Business Development team, with a particular focus on mid-market companies across the West Midlands.
Mark Harris, HSBC Midlands Head of Corporate Banking, said: “The UK mid-market has won recognition as the critical engine for economic growth and employment, with confidence about future sales, growth and profitability high in the sector. Emma’s appointment is a clear signal that we want to work closely with this market.”
Ms Hallam added: “The Midlands has a vibrant mid-market sector with many well-known and well-run businesses looking for growth in 2014 and beyond. I’m looking forward to supporting these companies in this new role.”
