Cabling firm Wrekin Services installs growth plan after two-year deal

A CABLE installation business in Shropshire is targeting growth after securing a major contract to service Telford & Wrekin Council’s premises across the county.

Telford-based Wrekin Services, which installs cabling for CCTV and other IT systems, has won a two-year deal with the local authority to supply and install various network infrastructures in facilities such as schools, libraries, and council and social care buildings.

Jason Hargreaves, director, Wrekin Services, said: “We’re delighted to have won such a prestigious contract, especially as it sees local businesses joining forces to help strengthen some of the town’s Ethernet and fibre optic network accessibility.

“In addition to designing our systems to suit each building and the requirements of the client, we will be ensuring that they are consistently monitored and maintained throughout the contract.”

The firm will install the Local Area Network including copper and fibre optic connections, as well as fit CCTV Systems to provide increased protection to the council’s premises.

Martin Payne, Project Manager and Business Advisor at Telford & Wrekin Council, said the authority was looking forward to continuing its successful partnership with the firm.
