Greenfield Capital moves its operation to Birmingham’s Bank House

PROPERTY lender Greenfield Capital has taken a five year lease on offices at Bank House in central Birmingham.

The firm said it needs additional space to cope with the growth in its business.

Greenfield is moving onto the 11th floor at Bank House, relocating from its existing offices at nearby One Victoria Square.

The terms of the deal are undisclosed.

Greenfield specialises in short-terms loans to developers. It offers bridging loans from £26k to £5m and development finance from £50k to £5m.

Operations director David Grant said: “We have seen some considerable growth in our property lending, especially in the property development and property refurbishment sectors in both commercial and residential properties.

“It’s clear that our clients are looking for funding which their traditional High Street banks still do not support.”

Greenfield has just recruited three more staff which now takes its team to 12.

Grant added: “We’re all ex-bank and property people so we understand our client’s requirements and can move speedily with our underwriting and processing as it’s all in-house.”

Grant spent 29 years in the banking sector before joining Greenfield. The firm’s chairman is Poundland founder Steve Smith.
