Jobs created as sliding doors firm takes 31,000 sq ft at Solar Park
GVA has completed a 31,137 sq ft letting at Solar Park in Solihull on behalf of Ignis UK Property Fund.
Production and distribution unit Solar 610 has been let on a ten year lease to Centor Europe, a manufacturer of sliding door systems.
The company will relocate its existing European Headquarters to Solar 610 from nearby Monkspath Business Park.
Peter Watkins of Centor Europe said: “Solihull has been the home of our European headquarters since 2004 and has provided us with an outstanding location from which to operate.
“Solar 610 will offer us an ideal new base from which to serve our European customers while the additional space will allow us to increase our production capacity and create an extra 30 positions.”
Chris Kershaw, director at Birmingham-based GVA, said: “Solar Park, purchased by Ignis UK Property Fund in 2012, provides attractive, contemporary industrial units on a well-managed private estate, that offer appeal to a wide range of occupiers.”
Centor will join existing tenants at Solar Park including John Lewis Partnership, Amtico International, Telefonica UK and MMX Communications.
Centor Europe was represented by Salway Bradbury.
