Aldi distributor moves to larger facility

A DISTRIBUTION company for budget supermarket chain Aldi has moved to bigger premises in North Warwickshire as its business operations continue to grow.

Intelligent Storage Solutions (ISS) has moved from its facility on Carlyon Road, Atherstone, to Unit 2 Purley Chase, Nuneaton, on a five-year lease

Property consultancy Lambert Smith Hampton (LSH) did the deal after being instructed by ISS to find it new premises.

The 26,350 sq ft building, which has recently been refurbished, comprises a warehouse unit with offices, large service yard and external store.

Ed Forrester, associate director in LSH’s industrial and logistics team in Birmingham, said: “The site is ideally situated for a busy distribution company and we were pleased to secure agreeable terms for ISS so that it can expand its business operations.”

Alan Ball, of ISS, said: “The unit at Purley Chase fulfilled all of our requirements and provided us with room to expand our operation in the future.”
