The family owned business has a national network of sales offices and 43 trade counters throughout the UK and employs 1,500 staff.

Its acquisition of Total Access will make the company the leading supplier of height safety solutions and will help support its ambition to grow its training and consultancy division..

Total Access will benefit from having access to Arco’s range of workplace safety products and the ability to deliver life-saving training to the business’s large customer base.

Birmingham-based Clearwater International advised Total Access on the sale. Its team was led by Rob Britton and Mark Gillingham.

Britton, a partner at the advisory firm, said: “As the UK’s leading independent working at height and confined space specialist, Total Access is a highly strategic acquisition for Arco.

“Total Access’s excellent reputation for technical expertise and its ability to provide specialist training for working at height will provide an excellent platform for Arco to further expand its operations within this market.”
