New addition to Drayton Manor’s marketing team

ALEXA Stockham has been appointed Drayton Manor Theme Park’s marketing manager, in time for its 65th anniversary celebrations.

She has more than 11 years’ experience within consumer and corporate marketing and communications, having worked for Birmingham City and Leeds United football clubs previously.

She said: “Being family owned and run, it’s hard not to fall in love with the ethos and spirit here at Drayton Manor. I’m already getting stuck in to the role and have lots of fantastic things planned for our visitors this year.

“Being local to the area, I used to get so excited about visiting the theme park when I was younger so it really is incredible that now I get to come here every day, although sadly I don’t get to spend my whole day on the rides or in the zoo!”

William Bryan, managing director of Drayton Manor Theme Park, added: “Alexa is already proving to be a great addition to our team and it’s fantastic to have her on board during such an important year.”

CMA Moldform makes three key appointments

BIRMINGHAM manufacturer CMA Moldform, which specialises in low volume parts production, has added to its management team with the appointment of a business development manager, sales and marketing manager and a production supervisor.

The new roles will be key to assisting with future growth plans.

Sharon Cyster joins as production supervisor after 13 years working for a multinational lock manufacturer.

David Newell is the new business development manager. He has an extensive materials background having worked in this sector for more than 15 years.

The new sales and marketing manager is Emily Glew who has worked in PR, marketing, sales and customer Service departments supporting the Midlands manufacturing sector.

CMA Moldform’s Mark Lowe, said: “Since my appointment as group managing director in April 2015, I recognised a clear need to bring additional talent in to our existing management team.

“There has been significant growth within the business in recent months and with even further expansion plans I look forward to taking the business to the next level.”

Councillor joins Hereford Enterprise Zone board

A LOCAL councillor has pledged to continue building a “fantastic future” for Hereford’s Enterprise Zone as he takes up a new role on the organisation’s management board.

Herefordshire Councillor Graham Powell will serve on the six-strong board that oversees the strategic development of the zone.

He said: “Making Herefordshiremore attractive to businesses is vitally important. Creating new business and new jobs brings more people to the county, which is positive for the long-term economic prosperity of Herefordshire.”
Councillor Powell said he saw his role on the board as an interface between the council and the enterprise zone.

“We are getting less and less funding from central Government and need to rely more on council tax and business rates to support the delivery of our core services. Bringing more businesses and people to the county with developments like Skylon Park will help us generate that income,” he said.

Skylon Court, a £1.7m development that will offer business space, workshops and flexible units, is due to be completed this summer.

SPECIALIST supplier of PVC building products, General Building Plastics, has promoted Anthony Hammond to the new position of head of online sales.

The second generation family business, celebrating its silver anniversary this year, has one of the UK building products industry’s largest ranges of PVC products for interior and exterior applications.
