Recruitment firm on target for record year

A DUDLEY-based recruitment business has celebrated a record first half after being granted improved access to the public sector.

Concept Resourcing, based on the Castlegate mixed-use development, is now performing ahead of target and is on track for a record breaking year end result.

Founder and managing director, Chris Short said: “We’re extremely happy with the first half results. The business has surpassed its H1 target, which has set us up for a record performance. H1 NFI is up 42% versus the same period last year and we expect to continue this growth well into H2.

“This year we’ve had several wins that have enabled us to establish Concept as a proven supplier, earlier this year we were approved onto the G-Cloud and NMNC frameworks. Both of these have opened the door to the public sector, allowing us to place a host of skilled IT contractors across the NHS as well as central and local government departments.”

Short said much of the growth could be attributed to strategic planning but this would be ignoring the hard work put in by the firm’s consultants.

“We’ve grown headcount by more than 40% and we’ve invested heavily into supporting our employees – be that through new system implementations, better progression plans and training, or industry leading commission schemes and rewards,” he added.

The business has been recognised with a place in Recruitment International’s Top 500 Report, which details the UK’s largest recruitment companies.

“It’s fantastic to see the business being recognised alongside some of the UK’s most recognised recruitment brands” said Short.

“We’re growing at a fantastic pace and it’s great to see that it’s not going unnoticed.”
