Hill Hofstetter beefs up its corporate finance and property offering

LAW firm Hill Hofstetter has strengthened its corporate and property practices with the appointment of two new partners, David Cranfield and Mark Lee.

Cranfield joins the firm – which has its local base in Solihull – from CMS Cameron McKenna where he was a partner and head of corporate in Moscow. He brings with him significant experience of international transactions, particularly in Russia, having advised Russian and international clients, including private and multinational companies, financial institutions and private equity, on a wide range of cross border transactions.

He also has extensive knowledge of setting up related offshore holding structures.

At Hill Hofstetter he will focus on corporate and business acquisitions and disposals, management buy-outs, shareholders agreements and joint ventures, both in the UK and overseas.

Lee has more than 20 years of experience in real estate and practised as a chartered surveyor for seven years prior to training as a solicitor, which could be of great benefit to Hill Hofstetter’s real estate clients.

He specialises in property investment and has dealt with the acquisition and disposal of substantial portfolios including multi-let shopping centres, retail parks, manufacturing and warehousing schemes, often to very tight timescales.

Chris Hill, managing partner at Hill Hofstetter, said: “I am delighted that David and Mark have joined us. Our reputation continues to grow in the UK and internationally and the expertise they both bring will play a major role in our future development.

“We have made significant investment in our business over the last two years with important senior hires and will continue this strategy to ensure we deliver the best possible service to our clients.”
