SMURFIT Kappa, one of the leading paper-based packaging companies in the world, has taken space at 75-77 Colmore Row in central Birmingham.

It has taken 2,310 sq ft on the fifth floor at Real Estate Investors’ building.

Smurfit Kappa has more than 43,000 employees across 33 countries and revenue of €8.1bn (£5.67bn) in 2014.

Ian Clark, REI senior asset manager, said: “It is a real coup to attract such a renowned company.

“We are very pleased they have chosen to move into quality city centre offices, following works to the building by REI. It is yet another indication of how attractive it is to be positioned at the heart of the business and professional quarter.”

Smurfit Kappa has signed a five year lease at £20 per sq ft.

75-77 Colmore Row has 19,095 sq ft of office space behind a Grade II listed façade.

REI has its own HQ on the second floor and other occupiers are Davisons Solicitors and architects Webb Gray.
