Home maintenance group creates 160 new jobs in UK service expansion

WALSALL-based home maintenance provider HomeServe is set to create 160 new jobs as part of an expansion – including more than 30 across Greater Manchester.

With the acquisition of Nottingham-based Home Energy Services last year, the company created a 600-strong network of directly-employed plumbing, drainage and heating engineers.

It said it was now looking to grow this network across the UK with more than 160 jobs available to the various trades.

In the North West alone it is creating 31 new jobs in Greater Manchester, Lancashire, Merseyside and Cheshire (including the Manchester, Bolton, Blackpool, Wigan, Lancaster and Blackburn, Preston, Crewe, Liverpool and Warrington areas).

Positions are also being made available in its plumbing and water supply pipe engineer network.

Martin Bennett, CEO, HomeServe, said; “With the acquisition of Home Energy Services last year, we created a 600-strong network of directly-employed plumbing, drainage and heating engineers, and now we are looking to grow that network to increase our engineer coverage across the UK.”

Home Energy Services is a major gas service and repair business, formerly part of E.ON.
