Solihull PR agency heads north of the border for expansion

SOLIHULL-based PR agency Vitis PR has expanded its operation north of the border after a series of new business wins.

The specialist technology agency has opted to set up a base in Fife in a move that will see the firm’s head of media relations Nic Corns return to her roots.

Ranbir Sahota, founder and director of Vitis PR, said: “We’ve had an extremely successful year, which has seen both our client base and internal team grow. Nic is originally from Fife, so will head up the Scottish office. Our presence in Fife will enable us to expand our portfolio and access the growing number of specialist technology companies north of the border.”

Ms Corns returns to her hometown of Glenrothes as a fully-fledged PR professional, with a journalism degree from Liverpool John Moores in her pocket and over 11 years of experience within the PR industry.

Hired by Vitis PR in 2010 to provide flexible client support and to manage day-to-day communications with the UK and international media, she intends to bring her own Scottish flare to the new office.

“Scottish companies looking for new blood and fresh thinking have a new alternative specialist agency to approach now,” she said.

“Vitis PR already has an excellent international reputation and good working relationships with media across the Midlands and the UK, but having an on-the-ground presence in Scotland too will allow us to have face-to-face contact with the many technology companies that are based here.”

The agency’s current client base incorporates a variety of technology businesses, including online retail, smart home devices, telecoms, embedded electronics, open source software, information security, managed service providers, software testing, quality assurance, M2M or Internet of Things.
