Appointments: GJS Dillon; Bilfinger GVA, CWA; Vail Williams

WORCESTERSHIRE commercial property consultancy GJS Dillon has appointed a director to head its professional services and valuation department.
Jonathan Mountford joins the firm, which has offices in Bromsgrove and Worcester, from Andrew Grant Commercial in Worcester where for the past 10 years he was partner in charge of commercial agency, professional services and valuations.
At GJS Dillon, Mr Mountford will work closely with managing director John Dillon to grow the firm’s work in valuations, rent reviews and lease renewals.
Mr Dillon said: “Jonathan’s appointment brings in another ambitious, highly qualified director with first class local property knowledge and strong contacts. I have known Jonathan for a number of years and he will play a vital role in the continuing growth of GJS Dillon.”
A RICS registered valuer, Mr Mountford has more than 25 years’ experience of professional services work, valuations and property management for commercial property consultancies in London and the West Midlands.

BILFINGER GVA has appointed a principal drainage engineer to its national environmental services team.
Kazi Hasan joins the team, which is based at the company’s Midland office, from AECOM while he has previously worked at Mott MacDonald and the University of Abertay, Dundee.
Paul Nixon, head of Bilfinger GVA’s national environmental team, said: “This recent appointment follows the requirement in local planning policy and subsequent decisions on major developments of ten dwellings or more or equivalent non-residential or mixed developments, which require the use of SuDS for the management of surface water runoff.”

ENGINEERING consultancy CWA has promoted Tom Hender to associate director after three years as an associate engineer.
Mr Hender, a graduate of the University of Wolverhampton, joined CWA in 2013 having worked at other consultancies.
CWA, which moved into new offices in Great Charles Street last year, provides civil and structural design consultancy services to a wide range of sectors.

COMMERCIAL property specialist Vail Williams has promoted senior surveyor Steven Bott to associate.
The reward was recognition of his transaction achievements, including a 30,000 sq ft office letting in West Bromwich, and bringing in new business from major organisations such as the NHS and Mapeley.
Carole Taylor, partner at Vail Williams, said: “We hope that this promotion will give Steve the platform to go out and help to increase the profile and client base of the Business Space Department, both landlords and occupiers, building on the success he has already had.”
