New letting underlines shortage of quality space in Redditch

MARKETING agency TTMA has become the latest firm to open up at a new business park in Worcestershire.

The arrival of the firm at the new Hepworth Park complex in Redditch means all units there are now either let or under offer.

It has also underlined the shortage of quality commercial space in the area.

Hepworth Park is a speculative scheme of seven 1,600 sq ft units. Most were snapped up before the development was even finished due to strong demand for commercial property in the area.

Lettings for the site have been handled by Ian Parker, a director of property agents John Truslove.

The firm has previously warned that Redditch is suffering a severe shortage of small and medium sized industrial stock, which has started to cause the town to lose business.

TTMA required new premises having had to vacate a building, soon to be demolished, which it rented in the grounds of Studley Castle.

Phill Rhodes, TTMA managing director, said they had chosen Hepworth Park because landlords Fox Industrial Services had agreed to build offices to the company’s specifications and provide associated warehousing in which to store promotional material.

It has taken 1,678 sq ft on a five year lease. Ashley Gurr, partner at Redditch law firm Kerwoods provided legal advice.

TTMA offers direct marketing, direct mailing, campaign management, database design and management, together with other services.

Its main clients are Tarmac, manufacturer Rexel, and motor parts group Parts Alliance.

Ian Parker said: “TTMA are a quality operator and a good catch for Redditch. But if we don’t quickly identify other sites to develop then businesses will go elsewhere.”
