Traffic Alert: Long delays on M6 after accident

DELAYS on the M6 north of Birmingham are easing but queuing traffic now stretches back to Junction 6 at Spaghetti, with traffic trying to access the motorway from the A38 Aston Expressway impacted.

The delays are due to an earlier accident between junction 10 (Walsall) and 10a (the exit for the M54).

One lane has been closed off for recovery work but is continuing to impact  traffic trying to join the M6 from the M5 north at Junction 8.

However, traffic travelling through Smethwick is now facing long delays because of an accident on the A457 Oldbury Road westbound between Tollhouse Way and Spon Lane South.
