Appointments: drp; Wakemans; Gravity Risk

COMMUNICTAIONS agency drp has grown its team with the addition of three members of staff.

Emily Johnson has joined drp as PR and social media executive, Andrew Grierson as project manager, Samuel Kelly as lead user experience designer.

It has also promoted Suzie Blundell from project manager to account manager.

Dale Parmenter, group chief executive, said: “drp has seen a rapid growth across all areas of the business in the last two years, and we plan to sustain this growth during 2016.”

The group currently employs 178 people across its offices in Hartlebury, Leeds and London.

PROPERTY consultancy Wakemans has added three trainees to its team, who will also be studying part-time at university to gain their professional qualifications.

Richard Coles and Matthew Gannon are studying at Birmingham City University whilst working at Wakemans Birmingham office. A third trainee, Samuel Longley, will be based in Bristol.

Wakemans’ managing director John Woodhall said: “All three students are welcome additions to our growing team. We are committed to training young people and bringing on board home grown talent.

“Students that join us after their A levels or equivalent have a unique opportunity to blend academic study with real experience that gives them a depth of experience that will prove invaluable as their career progresses.”

BLACK COUNTRY insurance brokers Gravity Risk Services has made a trio of appointments as it looks to strengthen key areas of the business.

Director Wendy Ashley has joined from Jardine Lloyd Thompson, where she was a branch director, and brings more than 30 years’ experience to the team.

Matthew McCall also joins from JLT to become affinities manager to grow Insure and Support partnership work with Wolverhampton Wanderers football club.

Account handler Sophie McDonough who brings a wealth of experience from her time with Arthur J Gallagher and Co.

Dale Collett, director at Gravity Risk Services, said: “We are always looking to grow the business and improve the way we do things for our clients. We have a number of new faces starting over the next few weeks and we’re delighted to have them on board.

“There are specific areas of the business we want to focus on and we are confident we have the right individuals joining the team to do that.”

The company was founded three years ago and now has more than 250 clients and £1.8m-worth of business.
