Retailer continues Midlands expansion with £250,000 investment

BUTCHERS’ group Crawshaw’s is creating a sizzle in the Black Country with its second opening in a matter of weeks.

20 jobs will be created when it opens a store in Bilston as part of its Midlands expansion plans.

It is the group’s 47th store and the 1,600 sq ft unit will occupy the former site of HSBC Bank on Bilston’s High Street.

Crawshaw’s chief executive Noel Collett said: “After the successful opening of our new store in Cannock and the imminent opening of our largest Fresh Meat Factory Shop in West Bromwich, we are thrilled to continue with our expansion in the Midlands.

“This opening is in a prime location close to the Bilston Market Centre and we hope that customers will be pleased to see something completely new in the area.”

The £250,000 investment is part of the Yorkshre retailer’s plans to open 200 stores and create 2,500 jobis by 2022.
