Stafford accountancy firm invests £100,000 in office expansion

A STAFFORD accountancy firm is planning for growth after investing more than £100,000 in doubling the size of its town centre offices.

Carthy Accountants has bought the neighbouring premises on Eastgate Street.

The latest member of the Carthy family firm has joined the firm, with Laura Sant – daughter of managing director Rupert Carthy and sister of client services director Michael Carthy – swapping PwC in Birmingham for Stafford.

“We’re delighted to welcome Laura into the family firm,” said Michael Carthy. “She comes with experience of working with one of the Big Four international accountancy firms and joins our experienced team of accountants.

“Carthy Accountants is continuing to grow and this has allowed us to move forward with our office expansion and plans to train the next generation of accountants.”

The company is looking to take on up to three accountancy apprentices and an experienced training manager.
