Software business confirms the appointment of Gateley chair

STAFFORDSHIRE software firm eg solutions has confirmed the appointment of Gateley chairman Nigel Payne as its own new non-executive chairman.

Mr Payne succeeds Duncan McIntyre, who together with CFO Jonathan Kay and two other non-executive directors, all resigned from the business on Monday.

The reason for their departures is still unclear.

Mr Payne has more than 30 years of experience as a director of both publicly listed and private companies. He has extensive expertise with listed companies, notably in his current roles as non-executive chairman of the Birmingham law firm.

He is also the current chair of Stride Gaming, director of Gama Aviation and was previously  CEO of online gambling firm Sportingbet.

He holds an Executive MBA from the IMD Business School (Lausanne, Switzerland) and a degree in Economics and Accounting from Bristol University.
