8 spooky Halloween events in the West Midlands

Looking for an excuse to scream once or twice this Halloween? We are sure you’ll find these events which are taking place over the next few days super spooky…
Fright Night
For adults looking to make the most of paranormal happenings at Halloween, they will be able to step inside one of Birmingham’s most haunted venues, Aston Hall, on an interactive terror tour on Friday 28, Saturday 29 and Sunday 30, with tours taking place between 5pm – 8.30pm. The hall, which has had numerous sightings of two ladies, is also hosting some family friendly experiences as the Hall will be transformed into a haunted mansion on Saturday 29 from 11am – 4pm. Ghost Tour and Late Night Lock-In
Feeling truly fearless this Halloween? The New Alexandra Theatre in Birmingham is inviting locals along for a special late night tour and lock in on Saturday October 29 at 10.30pm. Be the very first to experience the auditorium in the small hours, where guests have until 3am to explore and have guaranteed goosebumps and chills. Published author and paranormal expert Marq English will also be on site to answer questions about what you may find on the tour. Find out more here.
28 Weeks & The Virus Returns
Drakelow Tunnels in Kidderminster, a huge underground bunker built during the Second World War as a military complex, will be host to an immersive cinema experience of 2007 post-apocalyptic horror film 28 Weeks Later. The event is set in a post-apocalyptic Britain with hordes of people turned into zombies by the Rage Virus and a cast of nearly 40 actors and one of the country’s top fight choreographers are preparing to take people through intense scenes on a 1km urban chase route to a genuinely terrifying finale. Attendees will watch a screening of the 28 Weeks Later movie at the end of the chase. Find out more here.
Spooktacular Castle
Although there are a range of events for the whole family to enjoy at Warwick Castle over Halloween, the fun really starts after dark. The Haunted Castle will be open until 9pm where the fright factor will be cranked up high alongside other events including The Castle Dungeon. Tormented event will come into play from 12pm and Outbreak 1349 from 5pm. Find out more here.
Halloween Weekender
Night & Day markets return to Digbeth this weekend for a Halloween special. Taking place on Friday 28 and Saturday 29 of October, there will be everything from the city’s finest street food to music, entertainment, arts, liquor and ales to enjoy. The Day of the Dead themed wonderland will also play host to DJs Craig Charles on Friday and Joey Negro on Saturday. Find out more here.
The Exorcist

Horror at the Drive-In: Blade
Sink your teeth into our fang-tastic Halloween Drive-In at the Artrix in Bromsgrove on Sunday evening. Blade stars Wesley Snipes as a half-vampire, half-mortal man who is out to avenge his mother’s death and to rid the world of vampires. Trick and Treat Halloween Party
Birmingham’s oldest pub, which has been stood in the city for 648 years, are hosting a trick and treat Halloween party this Saturday night where there will be shocktails, apple bobbing and of course, fancy dress. Be prepared to see a ghost or two though, as the pub has a range of resident ghosts, with one haunting a 30ft well that is over 1,000 years old. Find out more here.
