Black Country industrial estate proves popular as distribution point

HARRIS LAMB has let six units on a Black Country industrial estate in the space on just six months.

The lettings at the Old Park Industrial Estate, Wednesbury account for a total of 46,420 sq ft, with space being let to three occupiers, all of whom will use the site as a storage and distribution hub.

French manufacturer Nord Composites has taken on 23,000 sq ft, while Clevedon Fasteners took on 16,250 sq ft and Midlands Associates 7,170 sq ft.

Thomas Morley, of Harris Lamb’s Agency team, said each of the new tenants had been attracted to the estate because of its quality and access links.

“Demand for industrial space in the Black Country is high and there is a desperate shortage of new and modern industrial stock within the region. As such, the landlords undertook an extensive refurbishment of Old Park to bridge that gap and provide the highest specification possible for tenants.

“Add to that its excellent access to the M6 – junction nine being just a mile away – and Birmingham Airport, Old Park is an attractive proposition for tenants, especially to occupiers seeking a prime distribution central location.”

There are now just two units – each under 8,000 sq ft – available.

Cushman & Wakefield acted as joint agent alongside Harris Lamb.
