Recruitment firm relocates Birmingham office after sustained growth

A Birmingham recruitment company has completed its office relocation after seeing a 30% growth in turnover.

ESA Group, formerly Edward Samuel Associates, has relocated to new offices in Calthorpe Road, Edgbaston after outgrowing its previous base in One Victoria Square.

The firm said a series of new client wins had seen turnover increase by 30% year on year in 2016.

Dan Heathcote, a director at the firm, said: “The business has grown every year since 2012 and with the last twelve months being no exception, we simply ran out of room at our previous location to house our ever-increasing team of recruitment specialists.
 
“We are extremely pleased to have moved into our recently refurbished office, just off Five Ways. The new premises give us greater opportunity to provide more parking for our staff and visitors, whilst still being in walking distance of the city centre.”

The new office is still accessible from the city centre, which the firm said was an important factor in its choice of new offices because it did not want to inconvenience existing clients.

ESA Group recruits across the marketing, human resources, technology and sales sectors in the Midlands. Its plan following relocation is to recruit an additional five members of staff to serve its own needs. These will join over the next six to twelve months.

Mr Heathcote added: “It’s a particularly exciting time to be in Birmingham at the moment, with the number of companies in the city growing faster than any other UK destination.”

He said the move positioned the firm well to serve the city centre as well as the expanding community of firms within Edgbaston itself.

“The additional capacity of the new office will offer us room to grow in to the future, as we look to capitalise on the successes achieved last year,” he said.
