BIRMINGHAM cable assemblies, integrated products and logistics services provider, CHH CoNeX, has accelerated its drive into the aerospace and defence markets after securing the coveted AS9100 international aerospace industry certification.
The AS9100 certification comes after just three months – half the time it normally takes manufacturers to reach the demanding standard – and follows the announcement of a major growth strategy which includes plans to increase the company’s turnover to £21m by 2013.
In reaching the milestone, CHH CoNeX, of Holford Industrial Estate, Witton, has invested significantly in attracting new, highly-skilled staff and the development of best practice processes aligned to meet and exceed customer requirements.

The AS9100 standard was first introduced in 2005 and forms part of the UK industry’s ground-breaking supply chain excellence programme, SC21; allowing original equipment manufacturers (OEM) to procure products with confidence from anywhere in the world.
