Medical centre finds new home on Telford business park and other commercial property lettings

A NEW sterilisation facility will be run from Queensway Business Park in Telford.

Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust has signed a 20-year lease on 21,731 sq ft of commercial space at the park which is owned by Birmingham regen specialist St. Modwen.

The space which extends across four units and St. Modwen has also secured the £1.45m sale of the investment in the property to a private investor.

St. Modwen surveyor Jonathan Green said: “The park continues to meet the requirements of a truly diverse range of businesses, demonstrating the successful delivery of highly flexible space here and in turn fuelling the growth of this thriving new commercial location.”

In other lettings news, RO St Bernards has let 144 Newhall Street, in Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter, to the Ormiston Academies Trust.

The non-profit organisation, which aims to raise educational standards, has taken the whole of the refurbished building, comprising 4,288 sq ft.

Staff have transferred to the new building from the trust’s existing home in nearby Caroline Street. Both rent and length of lease are undisclosed.

Cooper Crouse-Hinds, a division of electrical products manufacturer Cooper Industries, has relocated its 15-strong Coventry office to the 93-acre Whitley Business Park.

The deal with park owners St. Modwen comprises a 10-year lease on a 2,879 sq ft office building on Lakeside, the first phase of offices on the park.

The rent is undisclosed and Cooper Crouse-Hinds has relocated from the nearby Seven Stars Industrial Estate.

Finally, corporate advisory and restructuring services company Zolfo Cooper has signed a 10-year lease at 35 Newhall Street, in Birmingham.

It is relocating its Midlands region team from nearby Edmund Street, taking the building to 50% let.

King Sturge and KWB are joint agents for the property which is managed by ING Real Estate. BNP Paribas was acquiring agent for Zolfo Cooper.
